The Story Behind Nomadist

Nomadist has been a long time coming. In a way, it was inevitable. We all knew we have “that project” we always wanted to do and that itch never went away until we actually started the work. The purpose was always there.

Our Story

In the beginning, there was light. Mainly halogen, HID and LED, to be specific. Our background is in automotive lighting and off road accessories, but our passion lies at the intersection of automotive, outdoors and adventure.

Nomadist was started because we believed there is a gap in Automotive & Outdoor adventure that we know technology can solve. There is so much amazing content created and shared around by passionate people, but its not surfaced in an objective way because the incentive is always monetization. We believe that we can create a curated index of Automotive & Outdoor Adventure information that serves only one purpose:  To educate, inform, and inspire the world to go out and explore without trying to sell product too hard or sell anything for that matter.

The site will be completely free to use and we hope to eventually get feedback to improve it and even source content from the public.  We’re strong believers in open-source, trustless, and permission-less ecosystems (like blockchain) and to be honest – we thought it would be a fun project if we used the same mentality to create an indexed, curated content portal for Vehicle Adventures and Overlanding.

Mission. Vision. Purpose.

We know why, so we’re driving adventure forward.

We know how, so we’re building further.

We know when, so we’re doing it now.

Join us on the road ahead.

Our Mission

Our mission for Nomadist:

Drive Adventure Forward!

Our vision for Nomadist:

Discover the best blogs and information for automotive & outdoor adventure as it relates to tech, business, food, marketing, entrepreneurship, products, news, photography by curating and aggregating RSS feeds.

Provide a UI that allows the user to customize and craft their own experience that matches their needs and reading / viewing preferences.

Empower quality content in this space to be distributed and surfaced without censorship.

We want Nomadist to be the first Automotive Adventure Blog that was created by an everyday guy, for the everyday guy.

The Nomadist

Work with Us

Looking to work with us on your next project, campaign or product launch? Or maybe you just want to be included in our Adventure Feeds? Awesome, that’s why we put together some organized pages and quick response forms to help you get what you’re looking for as soon as possible.

Get to Know Us

We might be a rag-tag team with one passion in common, but we’re planning on adding more Nomads this year to achieve our vision and mission. Our mission is to help you discover the best content in automotive-driven adventures such as overlanding and off road racing to reactional adventures such as tent camping and kayaking.  Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten the thrill seekers: you’ll often find us writing on or curating stories about skydiving, gliding and much more!
