After that, the 1000s took over. The 1000 and the 570 classes completed five laps on the larger youth course. The 170s took 16 laps on their smaller course.

Since 1968, the Mint 400 has been the most difficult and spectacular off-road race in North America. The race started as a promotion for the Mint Hotel’s annual hunt of deer. But it quickly became a desert race. The “Great American Off-Road Race”, which was revived in 2008, has grown to be more prestigious and more difficult to win.
