The Cap-it story began in 1977 with founder Hank Funk opening the first store (Rover Recreation) in Abbotsford, BC, manufacturing truck caps and selling RV supplies.
In 1980, the company introduced Truck Accessories and Camping Equipment to its lineup of products.
In 1990, Rover became Cap-it: a truck accessory franchise with a new name, new signs, and a new image. This transformation proved successful as the company grew to become Canada’s largest truck accessory franchise.
