The past few weeks, we’ve beeing showing off some of the amazing Jeeps from our good friend Brad from TrailRecon . Well, the TrailRecon TakeOver continues this week! Here, we’re showing off the TrailRecon Jeep Wrangler JL. This 2-door Jeep JL certainly has the best color scheme of them all! But we’re probably biased. As a matter of fact, this Jeep belongs to Mrs. TrailRecon! Who says women can’t wheel?! So grab your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy what Brad has to say about the Jeep JL that belongs to his better half.

The Backstory:

“My wife loved driving fun cars when she was younger, her favorite car being a 1972 Yellow VW Bug, but when we were married and our family began expanding, practicality had to set in. She drove an assortment of minivans and SUV’s over the years, but when our sons graduated high school it was finally time to shed the oversized SUV she was daily driving. We searched far and wide looking for a Jeep that needed to meet her very specific requirements, a 2 door Yellow Jeep (the same color her VW bug was), but it had to have a yellow top and yellow fenders… not an easy find…

Why did you choose KC Lights?

Watching her smile as she climbed into her new Jeep for the first time was a great moment. No more mom-mobile. We have kept her Jeep mostly stock to maintain its daily driving manners, but she has hit many trails in California, Arizona and Utah without any problems. One of her required upgrades was to add some KC LED Daylighters with the yellow smiley face covers. While these lights look great and absolutely fit her Jeep perfectly, pulling the covers off allows her to light up the trail with plenty of light! Recently, she has expressed a desire to venture off and tackle some harder trails, so a lift kit, new wheels and tires and few other modifications to make it a little more off-road capable are on the to-do list.”

Now that we know the story of the TrailRecon Jeep JL that keeps the wife happy, let’s dive into full build specs as they are today (July 2020). This Wrangler JL is a very functional, daily driving machine that’s capable and tons of fun! Enjoy!
