Bush Company MAX Double Opening Clamshell Roof Top Tent
The Bush Company Roof Top Tent – Classic MAX edition is an unrivaled product. It features a 3″ (75mm) high-density foam mattress, a setup/pack down time of under 2 minutes, and a 7′ 0.6″ (2.15m) long x 4′ 3.6″ (1.3m) wide body—all of which combine to make this a superb addition to any camping/touring setup.
The Classic MAX has a double-action opening roof, so you have the option of either just opening the tent as a clamshell or opening the second roof providing 4' 6.4" (141cm) of max headroom at the rear and (137cm) 4' 2" at the front of the tent. The second roof can be closed easily from the inside or outside of the tent and is firmly secured when closed with catches on the sides and front. In addition to standard rear and side openings found on the Classic, when fully open, has an additional large opening at the front of this tent and two additional windows on side of the canvas providing increased airflow and also visibility from the tent. All of these openings have high-quality mesh proof against insects.
The tent is equipped with 12V power, an LED light in the roof, and storage pockets on the roof and side walls. It has 1.8m extruded roof rails for securing up to 330lbs (150Kg) on the roof in its closed position, and even with 88lbs (40Kg) on the roof, the mechanical gas struts will still be able to open and safely support the roof. For easy fitment to vehicles, there are 4 heavy-duty extruded rails on the underside of the tent.
