WHY BUY A GRIZZLY COOLER?
MADE IN USA | GRIZZLY COOLERS ARE MADE IN DECORAH, IOWA USA |
COLOR OPTIONS | GRIZZLY COOLERS ARE AVAILABLE IN SEVERAL COLORS |
TOUGH | GRIZZLY COOLERS ARE ROTOMOLDED AND MADE TO LAST A LIFETIME |
ICE RETENTION | GRIZZLY COOLERS ARE INSULATED WITH CLOSED CELL POLYURETHANE FOAM |
UNIQUE DESIGN | GRIZZLY COOLERS HAVE A RUGGED AND ATTRACTIVE DESIGN |
FEATURES
ROTOMOLDED | If the walls of a cooler aren’t uniform in thickness, the strength and durability of that cooler is questionable at best. Our coolers are built with rotationally-molded LLDPE plastic to ensure even wall thickness, durability, and max performance on every adventure. |
INTEGRATED HINGE | There aren’t many parts of a cooler that don’t take a beating. One in particular, the lid hinge. Grizzly Coolers features a forward-thinking integrated, interlocking hinge design to perform over a lifetime of rugged use. |
RUBBER LID GASKET | A cooler isn’t cool if it doesn’t keep things cold. Grizzly Cooler lids seal for optimal insulation even in hot temperatures with a silicone rubber gasket to keep cold air trapped inside to extend the life of ice. Everything for your adventures stay colder, fresher, longer. |
ECOMATE INSULATION | We want to protect the outdoors for all of us to enjoy. Grizzly Coolers use Ecomate for optimal cooling. We also use it because this unique insulation has no global warming potential, no ozone depletion potential, and is made with no volatile organic compounds. |
MOLDED-IN HANDLES | Carrying a loaded cooler isn’t on anyone’s list of favorite things to do. But, this chore is made easier with built-in molded handles. |
BEARCLAW LATCHES | The Bearclaw latches are a Grizzly exclusive design. Easy to use, interchangeable, and retain a bear grip on the lid. |
1" TIEDOWN SLOTS | Make sharp turns, ride out bumps, head straight up the mountain or to the river below knowing your Grizzly Cooler will stay right where you want it with tie-down slots for your truck, boat, or UTV. |
DRY ICE COMPATIBLE | Dry Ice delivers long lasting cooling. So, it makes sense that Grizzly Coolers are made to work with Dry Ice. Use our coolers exclusively with Dry Ice or mix with cubed ice to deliver the cooling performance you’re looking for. |
DIVIDER SLOTS | Get the most out of the space inside your cooler with Divider Slots to help separate ice, foods, and drinks. |
LOCKING SYSTEM | Every Grizzly hardside cooler comes with two lock holes to keep your cooler secure and your contents safe. |
OPTIONAL HANDLE | Add to your carrying options by adding a Grizzly stainless steel handle with rubber grip. |
GRIZZLY COOLER BEST PRACTICES
START WITH A COOL COOLER: If stored in warm places, a significant amount of ice will be wasted cooling the cooler itself. Preload your cooler a few hours prior to use with a sacrificial bag of ice to cool it down.
ICE TEMPERATURES VARY SIGNIFICANTLY: Warm ice (around 32°F) is typically wet or dripping, and won’t last long. Ice that is colder than the freezing point is relatively dry and will last substantially longer.
BLOCK ICE VS. CUBED ICE: Smaller, cubed ice will chill a cooler and the contents more quickly, but block ice melts at a much slower rate. Use a mix of both to chill contents and achieve long-term ice retention.
ICE-TO-DRINK RATIO: The optimum ice-to-drink ratio is 2:1 by volume. Example for every 12 oz can add about 3 cups of ice.
AIR IS THE ENEMY: Large areas of air inside your cooler will accelerate ice-melt as the ice is consumed cooling the air. These spaces are best filled with extra ice, towels, or crumpled newspaper if weight is a concern.
DON'T DRAIN THE WATER: Once your cooler is in use, DO NOT empty the cold water. The water helps to insulate the remaining ice. However, exposed food and meat should be kept out of the water.
SUNLIGHT IS A HEAT SOURCE: Keep your cooler out of direct sunlight when possible. Ice can last up to twice as long in the shade.
LIMIT COOLER ACCESS: Every time you open the cooler, you are exchanging the cold air inside for warm air outside that must then be cooled, causing faster ice-melt.
GRIZZLY ICE AMP & ICE DIVIDERS: Extend your regular ice with ICE AMPs or ICE DIVIDERS both have a phase change state just below that of regular ice. That phase change allows the ICE AMP or ICE DIVERS to do all the cooling work before your ice melts.
